Which exhaust shall I get for my ER6n?

Delkevic, Fuel and Beowulf are all cheap ones that I’ve heard good things about. I’d personally favour Delkevic as I’ve heard that it’s essentially a splinter group from Akrapovic. I think Fuel give a lifetime warranty though.

If you want cheap, but great sounding (and don’t care about your biking designer labels  ), get a Dan Moto custom made exhaust.

My mate got the MotoGP style stubby one for his Kawasaki ZX6R B1H.

It sounds and looks awesome.

The manufacturer also has an ebay shop if you want to buy through there.

There is a reason so many bikes have Akrapovics fitted…because they are the dogs danglies…simples.

I’ve got one on me Fireblade, but in truth if I was buying an exhaust for my Bandit 650, I wouldn’t spend the money on a Akrapovic…probably go for a Scorpion or something similar.

Got an Akrapovic on my fazer, great but common as muck

Got an MIVV on my SV :w00t:
( ridiculouly loud but needs to be on a commuter bike in town )

Thanks for the suggestion

Here’s a video of a Mivv vs Akrapovic - fast forward to 1:40, the footage before is well boring :doze:

I saw a guy riding an ER6n on a ride out once upon a time. The guys exhaust sound was monstrous and he really stood out from the crowd. So I pulled up beside him to check his pipe out and it was just the stock can!

Later I read that you can drill a hole in it to make it sound more meaty.

The first bike has a 3" hole
The 2nd is stock

First one sounds better.

Hmm, don’t really fancy drilling a whole in it… If I come to sell it, it might cause problems. Thanks for the tip though matey

I’m undecided on that one… I prefer the sound of the Mivv when in idle but like the Akra when revved… Argh, what they hell shall I get?! Too many choices…

Arrows are sweat and they do come up on flee-bay from time to time.
The Akrapovic looks top!

chuck in another option - LeoVince. Got a set on my KTM, very nice, better than Akras imho. I have checked the Youtube videos for ER6 with Leovince but they’re a bit tame. Scared of revving it

I just found this…and me likes the sound very much!

Although the Scorpion also gets my vote…

I have a scopion on mine, looks & sounds pretty good

Carol

Oooooh, this is PERFECT! That’s exactly the kind of sound I was after. Thanks handsome  you know me too well

Aaah, a fellow ER6er! Hello there

Yes, I was seriously considering a Scorpion, or a Mivv but now that my other half has found the Two Brothers I think, I’ll go for that one. I love the sound, nice and deep, bubbling away :Wow:

Ahh that looks & sounds gd.Your bike is lovely, I was looking at the white. Love my kwack to death, totaly addicted!

Where in s/london are you

Carol Sorry, incase your wondering, this is my hubbys profile I have jumped in on.

Hey Hey there,

hope this isn’t too late! I had the yoshi on my er6f and can’t recommend it highly enough. The sound is rich and deep and echos throughout the narrow streets of london. It really rumbles. But you do need to keep the baffle in. It is truly rediculous without it. The baffle just softens the sound slightly and tones it down, but it’s a vast vast improvement on stock. The finish is also excellent and it never seemed to get very dirty (I had the stainless).

I then had a crash and switched to a scorpion. Again, the finish is beautiful and rivals the yoshi. The sound and volume was very similar, but it slightly lacked the pureness of the ‘tone’ of the yoshi. Sounded slightly ‘flatter’. Doesn’t require repacking like the yoshi tho. Both great pipes tho.

Everyone I showed loved the yoshi and it turned a lot of heads.
Lot of people said the two brothers was even louder and that’s why I chose not to get that.

One thing worth pointing out, you will probably need to get an O2 sensor eliminator kit either of them as otherwise you’d get a constant FI warning light on the dash.

please get the yoshi :stuck_out_tongue:

Oli.
