The time has come so anyone any reccommendations as to where i should purchase my new tyres from? Im looking at getting some Michelin Pilot Power 2CT. Im based in Fulham. Also what do you think is a fair price all in tyres/fitting?
Quite a few people in West London use FTC in Feltham.
There is also HGB in Ruislip (South Ruislip branch for tyres)
Neither are particulary close to Fulham though, sombody else may have a better sugestion
well looking at the title i though you meant summing Else :hehe: so i was gonna reply the pharmacy but on the more serious note i get mine usually from any were i can and fit it my self;).the last one i got from m&p.
Essential Rubber in N1 for me.
Either FWR in Kennington or Wraysbury Tyres in Chertsey…
Always been happy with the service from both.
I live in Ruislip and would only use HGB as a LAST resort.
FWR convert me…
Ah i new the best way to get a responce on here was to inlcude some sexual innuendo
Thanks for the links Kev650. I knew there was somewhere that I had recommended to me before in Kennington but I couldn’t remember the name cheers Iggy,
I have never head of Essential but will give them a ring thanks Shewoolf, I suppose the best thing to do is ring round and get some quotes.
I live in Ruislip too and the service from HGB is awful. Can’t recommend anywhere else I’m afraid.
ive just had pilot road 2’s fitted to my gixxer by FWR in kennington, they charged 220 all in, and only took 15mins to do both wheels. i wouldn’t hessitate to go back there
apparently not at a bike-tyre-fitter…

Boots.
If you mean tyres… +1 Essential Rubber. Or let me make that +2. They are such top blokes there that they even managed to change the rear tyre on my NTV, which was so bent you needed 5 people to do it (2 to pull one way, 2 to pull the other way, and 1 to take the wheel out! :w00t: )
They did it without breaking a sweat and without making any rude comments about “why i don’t just bin that piece of sh*te and get a new bike” like some other bike shops I was at.
The chaps at Essential Rubber realize not everybody can afford a K9 Gixer, yet still loves their bikes the same… and that makes them good in my book.
I can’t fault FWR for their mail order tyres.
Next day delivery is free on orders over £100 IIRC
+1…
i love Mick( the owner of ER) and co…top fellas…always helpfull…long as your not a dickhead, ie a know it all or someone that wants discount this discount that…INFACT…i NEVER ask for teh 10% LB discount, cos they are cheap as it is, and well i aint a tight arse!!
yeah charms, the place closest to you is FWR, you wont go wrong there for tyres.
Thanks everyone for replying, so it really seems to come down to FWR and ER. FWR quoted me £246 fitted and ER quoted £230.
I was also sent a PM by wlodek_1980 on here, he seems to be quoting very reasonable prices anyone here used his services before?
+1- always sorted me out a treat!
+1 (and also great place for any mechanical problems that need quick attention, they’ll do it there and then.)
Have to agree with you there Iggy
OUCH!!! Might be ok down here i suppose… But i still ride up to Notts to get most my work done - good ride out, see some mates and save so much money - all in all good weekend… 2CTs fitted by TBR by Scrape up there… £190. vHe is doing my CBR600 16,000 mile service next month <£200!!!
