The place I live won’t let me install a ground anchor 
so I need to find a really big heavy lump to put in the space and lash the bike to. I know that people before have found both lump and bike missing in the morning, but it’s better than nout.
Any ideas?

Failing that how about a plastic dustbin filled with concrete (with a metal ring inbedded)

Put some bricks in the dustbin first to take up some of the volume then pour in concrete layer by layer, that would also work for the other chap who had a similar problem. I would think the concrete would need a day to set at each layer or it would never set in a plastic tub.Alternatively, the mother in law sounds perfect for the rougher parts of London 
Concrete sets by hydration. It doesn’t need oxygen, only lots of water, so will set inside anything. The most important thing would be ensuring it didn’t freeze during curing which would probably take a couple of weeks.
Now how about an old scrap van… ? Drop the wheels off it so it’s not getting towed away stolen. Once I’m done the council will remove it for a few quid… declared SORN in my space… good/bad idea?

, if your neigbours are not gonna complain. Think I would leave the wheels on so it dont look like a eye sore and lock the brakes up on it and stick it in gear and remove the gear stick. That way it will still look used and wont get taken away by the tinkers.
Try to get one with a bulkhead then there’s only one way in, that way you wont get the pixes come in during the night through the front doors and strip down your pride and joy. Nice lock on the back doors and a alarm, that and your normal bike security should be safe as houses

the trick is not to ask in the first place… 
the hardy ones are a single bolt, and when the loop is down, its just a small metal disc which is pretty discrete. maybe find somewhere where it wont be see, and stick a plant pot or sommat over it when you’re not using it so it doesn’t get spotted
You could bolt the dustbin to the ground before you fill it with concrete.

I would imagine that the neighbours would kick up a fuss for making the neighbourhood look pikey. Why not rent a lock up nearby instead?

I chain my bike’s back wheel to the alloy wheel of my car. Cars locked and alarmed, locking wheel nuts. Plus immobiliser and disc lock on the front and i dont think its going anywhere.
Unless of course the thieving monkey b@stards really want it in which case they’ll get it no matter what you lock it too and despite any elecronic whizmo’s you use to keep her safe.
Luckily I have a Yamaha Fazer and no bugger wants them anyway
Is there not a lamp post or something nearby where you park up? Trees are good.
