I have had 2 GPZ 9’s, and just luv kwakas despite some of their faults yes yes hummmm…
Like me bro says, i gotta stage-3 dyno kit on it which aint too good in low revs, but in the mid to high it shifts cos i dun weigh a lot.
I have kept up wiv my mates ‘05 blade (thats had shed loads of cash thrown at it), riding through the twisty roads round essex, when i know my mate was trying to loose me the b*std lol. Even he was surprised. Mind u, was bloomin’ Ard work i can tell ya. Hot day, sweating buckets!! Fun tho!
I kept up with expensive looking gixxers, a bulky busa, zx10’s and i think a fazer 1000 comming back from one particular ride out, but then i guess they were just weekend warriors cos they couldnt corner at all apart from the bloke on the fazer, but then i think he was doing what i was doing. Just hanging on to their tail to show them that its not all about the bike u buy and how much u spend on it, its down to the individual rider and the motivation for the speed chase fix.

Dangerous riding, speeding in excess of 100 (not me ociffer) round twisty country roads, thats gotta be a ban plus some fine or prison time, or both lol.
When i first got this particular bikey, i took her on the newly widened and resurfaced M2 motorway (b4 the cameras were thare), and believe i managed a top speed of around 170. Needle was bouncing between just below 165 an 175, but it got there fast as well.
Acceleration was good, but it suddenly lost power and died.
Took carbs apart at road side, and fixed it, but died again so called breakdown.
Got home, and crap in carbies again, so fitted filter and fuel pump and power seem to increase a little blah de blah.
Bikes dun lotsa mileage since, but still goes gud, which is more than can be said for me as i kinda mellowed into a bit of a p*ssy rider since my accident.
Nuffin bad, just had a pillion and made me think. Not to mention the amound of bloomin cameras everywhere now. U step a foot wrong and big bruvva pounces on ya. Not worth the risk anymore im afraid unless u can afford to pay all the fines.
