Presenter on top gear, think that would be fun. Alas I have neither the driving talent or the wit, so perhaps I could replace James May!
Motor journalist would be interesting I think, but I love going through old buildings and wondering why did they do this or that, would love to be paid to study historic buildings, archecture and landscapes.
Or maybe an FBI agent working on the X-Files would be exciting but that’s just been plain silly.
by rights…i should be a fighter pilot like my father…(EF111/F15 C)in the USAF…but i chose the wrong path yet again…will i ever learn?..:doze:

do actually love my job MOST of the time.
I just wish we were still on mid 1980’s salaries to go with the mid 1980’s stress levels that i work under now…
I would love to be astronaut! No jokes here always dreamed about it. All that space out there… And no police
Anything to do with driving a race car or race bike.
Unless your doing something really brilliant then the grass is always greener on the other side of the fence. Take for example what are classed as’creative’ jobs (e.g. in tv, film, theatre etc) these jobs are often freelance and are difficult to get into - this means that you never know how much you are going to earn that year, you have to pay for all your training (whether you get work as a result of it or not) and often you have spent a decade of your life climbing the greasy poll on no/low money until you get your first decent break. Once you have done all this you find out that your ‘creative’ job often amounts to churning out generic rubbish.
On the other hand you can land a job which you may find dull - but which gives you relative piece of mind in terms of cash flow, getting/paying a mortgage etc.
At the end of the day you’ve got to find a job that suits your personality, and aptitude.I work in a ‘creative’ job and have experienced all of the above. One of my best mates does a dull, uninspiring. stressfull job but earns a feck load of money and has just bought a 17th century cottage in the country - he envies aspects of my lifestyle and I envy aspects of his - which just goes to prove that with most jobs there is a rough/smooth aspect - you just gotta take the rough with the smooth.
If I could have chosen my aptitude/destiny then I would be probably the most talented bike racer ever to have lived!!!
fishing tackle consultant/tester…
