Got LB open and nothing else running…Avast keeps telling me it’s blocking a 'Malicious " site…The site trying to get in is 20-ka.cn.
Anyone know what it is and how to stop it?

i think its a virus of sum sort coz when i went to open LB everything slowed down, tried to log in which stopped half way then norton antivirus warned me about it having stopped sum intrusion…im useless wiv these things, i only know how to type and browse the internet:D:blush:
I’m getting this too, but only with Safari on a Mac. If I use Firefox I don’t get it.
It refers me to Google Malware and refers to givemelog.cn as the offending page.
I’ll PM Jay and ask him to PM us when it is clear.
Z.
I’m using Safari on a Mac, and haven’t encountered any problems…
I’ve had 3 warnings from my AVG this afternoon.
My McAfee anti-virus just warned me of the same thing.
got the same thing when using safari on my mac . Anyone knows what its all about ???
We’re looking into it. Probaby a spammer.
Getting it if I use IE on three of our pc’s but not using FFox. Warning me of Malicious Virus unsafe site.
I’m having a hard time finding anything. It could be a mis-reporting. This happened last week to every site on the web when Google messed up.
Still looking…
If it helps Jay, in IE7 I get a warning about snapview.ocx, and then redirected to this site:
Probably Chunky Monkey with all his witty posts…LOL
Or it could be the Web site crasher Jetstream
Or maybe someone put ketchup in the new server!! ![]()
snapview.ocx
A vulnerability has been reported in Snapshot Viewer for Microsoft Access, which can be exploited by malicious people to compromise a user"s system.
The vulnerability is caused due to the snapview.ocx ActiveX control reportedly allowing files to be automatically downloaded to arbitrary locations on a user"s system when e.g. visiting a malicious website.
Successful exploitation allows execution of arbitrary code.
NOTE: The vulnerability is currently being actively exploited.
Should now be resolved. Two adverts from a third-party ad system were to blame.
Sorry for the scare, though at no time would your computers been at risk due to your own Anti-Virus and Anti-Malicious Software would have guarded against it and the top browsers now just disable the offending attack code. The warning messages do more harm than good IMO as they scare people into thinking they’re at risk when really they’re not.
Thanks for putting our minds at rest Jay:cool:
