My name’s Andy and I’m new to this place, been on other bike sites and forums,
Suzuki Owners, Visordown etc but none seem as homely as this one
I’m the new owner of a GSXR 1000 K4 (bought in Jan 06) that replaced my GSXR 750 WX and I’ve been out every afternoon and weekend I can when it wasn’t snowing, sleeting or raining.
Went out today, Rykas for a fag and a mooch, busiest day this year, down A24 to A29 through Billingshurst to Bognor, along A27 for a bit then swung up through Chichester, through West Lavant to Petersfield, then alonf the A272 a bit on way to Winchester taking a right up the A32 to join the A31 for a fast blast home down the A31/A3
Anyway, enough about my blast, where do you guys/gals meet?
Never been to Chelsea bridge even though lived in London for 2 years :o
Hey Andy, welcome to LB! Glad you like it. At this time of year, there’s less people venturing out for regular meets as it’s so damn off-putting with the cold and salt, unless you’ve got a new bike to play with When it warms though, it’s a completely different story, and people will be hitting The Ace Cafe, Soho/Frith St (has some issues currently) and Chelsea Bridge.
People will be posting up their intents, so no doubt you’ll get to meet up and expand those horizons!
The roads weren’t that bad today, still tonnes of salt around but very dry, fingers are developing gradual frostbite over last month but it’s been a buzz!
Not used to power of 1000 yet and it’s trying it’s hardest to spit me off and slide me down the road like a slug in a pot of salt :o
Welcome to the happy family wiggeta, nice bike, i love my k4 1000, looking forward to this summer as i think LB has a lot lined up!! Keep it smooth mate.
A new custom on the site is that anyone with a GSX-R1000 has to lend it to as many people as possible for them to play on too
Ahem, well not quite, but welcome to the forum anywhoo.
I was hardcore last year but not so this year. I am not going out in temperatures below 5 degs as I am kacking it for the tyres not getting a change to warm up. Looking forward to next month and the buildup to Summer.
