what's the best insurance company for customer service & quotes?

Hi,

I’ve been riding a Fazer FZS 600 for the past six months. Even though this is my first bike
I feel confidant enough to upgrade. I’m looking to get a Fazer FZS 1000. After contacting
Carol Nash I was given a quote of £1244.00 fully comp and over £700.00 for third party on
a 2005 bike with a value of £4000.00. This quote takes into account that I can garage the bike
and have it fitted with a cat 1 alarm. can anyone suggest any other companies that might
povide cheaper insurance

try devit i got this years insurance through them £260 fully comp gsxr 1000 K3 £4k 35 years old 2 yeard NCD cheapest i found, you could try the price comparision websites

If customer services is important (and, god forbid, if you need to claim, it will be), stay clear of Carol Nash. Their sales teams are very friendly, but they’re a waste of oxygen when you need to claim (14 months on from the accident I’m still waiting, and Carol Nash couldn’t give a monkeys).

I moved to H&R and so far they seem good. They gave me a competitive quote and gave me an additional 1500 miles for fee last week. I haven’t had to claim from them though, so I couldn’t comment on that side of things.

i was with H&R for 2 and a half years and they were always pretty good with service and price. I was paying £800 TPFT for my 05 SV1000. I then had a look around at Xmas and found simply insurance same cover only £340. I’ve swapped over and not had any issues so far.

+1 for Devitt. Had zero NCD after years of no bike and they gave a the best quote on my CB600. Bought a ZX636 and policy hardly increased, bout £70 more if i remember rightly. Helpful too when you call them, hoping I’ll never have to find out how they handle a claim tho!

Always had good service from Express Insurance, they’ve got me with KGM for a very reasonable price.

Try the tesco compare insurance website, I saved a substantial amount and didn’t have to fit an alarm, (apparently an alarm can make as little as £25 difference to your premium as long as you are not dealing with carole nash who deal with a company to fit alarm/immobilisers for them)

i tried a lot of companies when i upgraded last year. best by far were Bikesure who are part of Adrian Flex. really helpful bunch on the phone i found, and def worth a quick call for a quote. they managed to insure me on my z750 for less than i was paying Bennetts for a CBF500. i do not like Bennetts.

p.s. also, check out the ‘Bikesure girls’ on their website. allegedly they are all employees of the company. i may apply for a job.
