just wandering if any of you guys have booked onto anything in May that is decent value and novice friendly?
I sold my trackday car for the bike so I have track experience but never on a bike plus I will be riding there and home so novice and gently gently are the order of the day…
also, what documentation do they ask for on the day as I am about to send my licence off to my insurance company
Don’t send your licence to your insurance company, you can send them a scanned copy (MCE) and if they insist on the actual licence demand that they pay for a courier or recorded delivery.
No excuse for requiring your licence.
For a trackday you will need both parts, paper and photocard.
Been asked before, in the FAQ it is ambiguous as to the actual actual rules… what about a 33bhp thing? I’d LOVE to get out on track but am still restricted, it says it varies from t.d. to t.d., but I can’t seem to find one 33bhp friendly anywhere?
Suggestions?
I’d be well up for going on a novice one with ya Leon!
This is from one of the forms I got from Focused Events
“You must bring both parts of your full current (unrestricted) UK driving licence issued by the DVLA with you and
present it at registration. You will not be allowed onto the circuit without one. If using an ACU licence then you
must be at least 18 years old. An MSA licence will not be accepted. RESTRICTED LICENSES WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED.”
Yes, it’s a bit a hike, but we’re turning it into a bit a trip. We’re riding up on the Tuesday, trackday on Wednesday and riding back on Thursday. Roads out there are very good, so we may as well make the most of it.
try lydden hill with us its a great track for 1st timers + they dont ask for licence and restricted licence would not be a problem, even no noise tests there
