smiled.

Still doesn`t sound as good as my scooter.

naa…just noise emmisions…but best to connect it back up for services…or it’ll cancle your warranty…

easy to doo and easy to undoo…

smiled.

Have you tried it yet to see what happens to your bottom end grunt?

Was gonna say the same myself…

Its not just for noise emissions…Like the EXUP valve in Yamahas, it is used to create exhaust back pressure at low revs to aid torque which is a good thing…Its only when the revs climb and the the valve becomes redundant that it opens fully.

If you disable the valve you will lose torque and have to rev harder to take off…Racers remove the valve becomes they don’t care about low end revs but want the most power.

Removing or disabling the valve is not worth it IMO on a street bike.

As an aside, I’m pretty sure that removing a CAT converter from an exhaust reduces back pressure also…So its worth investing in a proper pipe that is sold without a cat because the pipe should be narrower to compensate for the loss you get from CAT removal in a standard pipe.

yea your absolutley right afro…altho…ive heard it gives you a 2bhp increase when disabled and its smoother on the pull off…

tbh…i think i can do without that little kick from the low end…lol

its been tried and tested on a dyno…apparentley, you wont feel the loss of torqe from removal unless your on a track and setting up the bike for race prep…

well best i can say is that give it a try…and if you dont like it…re-connect it right back up…done in 1 minute…

im gonna give it a shot at some stage…

smiled.

just disabled it today…woooaaaa!!!

feels like a new bike!!!..wot an improvement!!!

well pleased….

smiled.

Umm, because your torque curve is destroyed and the massive 2hp top end gain?

Or is it the larger sound waves giving you a better vibration?

Smiled just likes to have a big throbbing meaty engine between his legs…
Which is a shame cos he rides a GSXR
When will you Suki boys learn?

Does your FI light stay on now?
