What muffs for a scooter?

Are all muffs universal? would i need a ‘scooter’ muff or would the regular ones (oxford, weise etc) fit?

and what muffs would you recommend for a scoot?

thanks

Although I have no personal knowledge (of muffs) I know that Bagster ones are highly rated on the scooter forums I frequent, although they’re not the cheapest.

As far as I know, the only consideration for fitting is whether you have handlebar mounted mirrors or not, as cheapy ones may not have slots/holes to accomodate the mirror stem. Otherwise, I think any would do.

Try and get a pair that are quick to fit and remove. Even if you have secure parking, remember to remove them before leaving the bike - I have had a pair nicked from a private undergound carpark before.

Some of them are specific to a model of scoot (and so will fit better), but others, I believe, will claim to fit any scoot.

More than that, I can’t say, as I don’t like them and have never had them (although I know others swear by them).

Tucano Urbano’s are really good. They are the type the couriers (and me) use. Infinity motorcycles Holborn stock them. They are better quality than the Oxford ones and keep your hands bone dry and toasty. I swear by them. I don’t find them restrictive as you can wear summer gloves underneath and get all the control of summer gloves in the winter. Plus your hands work better when they are not frozen stiff.

How about these

I’ve just ordered some from Wunderlich for the Dakar.

A little more than others but I chose them as they have a plastic window over the controls.

thanks Joby will check them out!

The hairy variety?? :w00t:

Hi BM- did you order these online and if so how much were they? I’m looking for muffs that will fit over the handguards of my Yam MT-03 and these look as though they might fit- even if they are meant ‘only’ for BMW’s.

… or maybe I should get some of these?

I used muffs once and didn`t really liked them, i wear lobster claw gloves which do a good job.

do they do claw gloves in woman sizes… the muff are for my GFs scooter

Hein-Gericke do them in small and xsmall

baglux/bagster muffs are scooter model specific and work really well !!! especially with heated grips and summer gloves !
