what mobile do you have?

what mobile phone do you have?.

i bought a newly released nokia 1101 earlier today(only available in virgin megastore’s at the moment) which is the same as the 1100 except the screen display has a silver background(like the 8310) and it’s silver all over. a simple, not all that flash at all, to use phone. on virgin mobile PAYG. only £29.99. had a nokia 5210 before for three long years!.

i’m on a 400 text bundle where i pay £10 a month to get them.

ps: i have three other spare unused packaged 400 text sim cards which i luckily got free off a virgin internet promotion if anyone wants one. PM me, they’re free for LB member’s to collect off me.

I have got some Motorola v blah blah blah and it has a rubbish battery!

I have a Sony Ericsson, a new one, but I’ve forgotten what it’s called, and the phone doesn’t have the model name on it (how bloody weird is that?), it’s the one with the 2mp camera in. It’s pants, the pictures are big, but really poor quality, and the keyboard sucks big time for writing text messages on, I keep hitting other keys, and the text-prediction seems more annoying than Nokia’s I’ve always used before, it puts silly words before more commonly used ones, which annoys the hell out of me.

I’ve always prefered Nokia’s for usability. They may not look the best, but at least they work as they should. Oh yes, the Sony Ericsson also has crap software, it takes far too long going through the menus and doesn’t have an easy way to get back to the main menu, you have to hold the back button down for a couple of seconds, and even then it doesn’t always comply.

Mobile phones still suck, imo, they need some more development to be good at what they do, and transparent with it.

Nokia 6630 and a Sony Ericsson K700i as my backup phone.

Jay it sound as though you have the K750i.

i’ve found Nokia to be the most ‘user friendly’. i’ve always had, always will use Nokia.

i agree with you Jay-more development needed.

I’ve got a Sony Ericsson V800, the “retro” styled one, yeah right. I like it, works well and does what I want, thou it is big but it’s 3G, takes video and pic’s are fairly good, like most the pics are better taken outside in good light and I’ve got a gig stick in it.

I think it’s the 4th ericsson I’ve had and as I’ve got used to there layout, I find it easy to use. I can’t stand my girlfriends nokia, which is just wrong.

Crikey, has it come to this?

Anyway, I’ve a Motorola V620. In the shops just 3 weeks before being made massively obsolete.

It’s rubbish. Crap build, crap predictive texting, crap camera, crap everything. But good bluetooth & screen so can put my own wallpapers on it. A must. And bonny lights that go all diff colours when it rings. I’m easily swayed by cosmetics.

No more Motorolas for me then. Used to have Sony which I loved. Dislike nokias as their menus etc seem almost childlike / patronising.

If I could avoid having one all together I would.

I’m with Jay. How difficult is it to build a good phone?

Yes, I have the K750i, thanks Wallace.

I remember when phones used to be revolutionary, but now they’re all the same pretty much, and it’s just looks and software that seperate them. The looks don’t really do it for me any more, the manfacturers could do with hiring some decent industrial designers, like Apple have done.

I have K700i and M1000 for checking email, calendar etc etc whilst working of site… All work phones, haven’t got a clue how much my bill’s work out, never paid a penny for any mobile or bill in my life… so cant really complain to much

I have the Samsung D500, had it for a while now… Its quite crap really, the hype of phones are gettin annoying and I always seem to change after a month or so. Probably guna get the D600 soon!

And here’s a topic for me!!

I was always a mobile phone freak, owned well over 50 models

I enjoy taking them to the limit, changing the software etc.

At the moment I’m using Nokia 6230, which works great as a Mp3 player with 1GB memory card (ChrisDee loves to have a chat with me when I’m ready to ride and can’t hear a word), and I still have my old and beloved Nokia N-Gage, which works great as a phone, game console, Gps- navigation and few more things!

I sold XDA IIs and now I’m waiting for a free upgrade to XDA Mini which just rocks! Powerful PocketPc in a size of normal mobile phone!

The mobile phone is very good to use it a Gps navigation while riding a bike! I never use maps.

Serena and I both have a T-Mobile MDA compact, which is the same as the i-Mate Jam, O2 XDA Mini etc.

I’m beginning to find it invaluable. I used to use an iPAQ, but couldn’t be bothered with it’s bulk, and having to carry a phone as well, now I have both devices in one, in a smaller form factor than the iPAQ too. It’s also got a 1.3Mp camera, which would be OK for emergencies I guess.

Got the Motorola V3 black and it’s fine if all that you want from it is to make and recieve calls, apart from that? it’s rubbish! Oh, I got a motorola V600 as well, same story!

I have the Nokia 6230i, I like it… It’s simple to use and does what I want it to. I am due an upgrade now and went into Vodafone today checking out what is avalilable. I’m going to do some research over the next couple of weeks and see which one I will have next…

\juet got a nokia 3230, not a bad phone but after a couple of years of Sont erricsons all the keys seem in the wrong place. But easier than changing from my old Nokia which had all the numbers/letters in a circle.

Up until July I was a manager for Phones 4u, I am an official phone whore. I am in the process of getting a job for Carphone warehouse.

I have a k750i, but I have had pretty much all the top phone for the last 2 years, and although the k750i is not the most expensive it does all the things I want.

What more important is the tariff… I pay £50 a month for 2000 x-net minutes and a 450 unit bundle for text, MMS, etc.

Mine’s a Nokia (model no?) very slim & compact, colour screen … the only important fact here is that it’s a Nokia … so, I can charge it anywhere!!

Right now im using Two Black Motorola V3 and an NECe616, and never answer them or so im told.

There is also about 15 phones laying in my top draw.

Ive got the same, V3 Black. Great for posing, ringing and answering and…er…thats it. My first Motorola. But its ideal for biking, small and thin, so fits in a jacket. And all i really need.

have a Sony P900 PDA for work which has alot of stuff i never use apart from the calender which is great. Keeps my appointments even if i dont! Plus if someones being smart i chuck it at em as its like a brick in a nice case! lol

Well I have recently purchase Google Nexus One…Fantastic Phone, with cool Features…
