Waterproof gloves

I’m looking for a new pair of waterproof gloves, the pair i have at the moment are Racer which are brilliant just like my summer ones.
The price of the Racer is £119 which is a bit too much now and have been looking for something as good and cheaper.
In Ride magazine they recommend Texport gloves which are a hell of a lot cheaper and ment to be better than my Racer gloves.
Does anyone have a pari of Texport and are they any good.
Also trying to find somewhere who stocks Texport gloves.

not the answer you want… but i got the spada forceII and they are brilliant and v well priced

have ya tried Mari golds? very waterproff and a range of colours.

I have been wearing Spada Enforcer WPs for the last two and a half weeks - nice and warm in the cold, and despite riding in some complete downpours, they have kept my hands completely dry.

I have a set of Racer’s and they were about £60 from Infinity

Have a look at Held or Halvarrsons gloves too. Under £80 as well.

+1. I have these also and they are well priced at ~£45-50. Never leaked and have a nice little wiper blade on the left thumb!

I’m going to Firstline tomorrow as they Stock Spada Enforcer gloves.

In my experience waterproof gloves never go the distance, they always get wet eventually, much prefer a pair of decent normal gloves and some heated grips to dry them off with. Muffs also work well.

Got to endorse the Spada option. I’ve a pair of Spada (something) WP I’ve been using for almost four years.

Bought a pair of Spada Enforcer (I think) WP last year thinking the old gloves would give up fairly soon.

Nope. Fourth winter, still going strong with just a couple of treatments of some stuff picked up at a show for pennies.

Gloves cost about £35 for the first pair, £40 for the second, so far unused, pair.

Still warm and waterproof and just keep getting more comfortable.

Spada force 2, despite enforced use as a prophylactic, still going strong though I`d prefer not to wear them now.

Janus

Don’t remember that endorsement on the Spada (Feridax) web site. I wonder why?

Modesty?

Papal interference?

Who knows but it`s up and in the public domain now:P

I’ve got a pair of Halvarssons State Gloves, they are waterproof for about 2 hours worth of riding, they feel really nice to ride in.

I’ve also got a pair of Alpinestars winter gloves which are fully waterproof and very warm, a tad thick mind, but the warmth is great in the winter

John - dunno if you’re sorted yet but I’m another of the Spada Enforcer WP wearers who loves them.

I’ve done my 1 hour commute in persistent rain a few times - never let in a drop.

I also wear Spada X-Trails in the summers - can’t fault either pair - both excellent gloves.

I bought them from a local independent shop and picked up the Enforcers for £40 and the X-Trails for £30.

+1 for Spada WP jobbies, quite cheap and I have done about 30k miles in a pair. Not breathable, but waterproof. Warm too, too warm for summer (And I’ve crashed in them twice :D). Hein Gericke do some good Goretex ones, waterproof and breathable of course, about £70, not as warm, but thin undergloves sort that out.

I have decided that i am getting the Spada ones as they seem to be highly recommended.

Spada gloves. Got to be the thinking tightwads choice.

Now. Knowing the way these things go, I bet you get the only known pair to leak like a sieve.

Knowing John he will complain the gloves don’t fit becasue they only have one thumb and four fingers! :stuck_out_tongue:

He’ll get the pair that Janus poshwanked into
