That’s aimed at all the people who drove past a really nasty bike accident today and just decided to look and laugh instead of stopping to help the poor sod who was falling over the place and unable to stand up.
I’m sorry that sounds harsh - no hang on a moment I’m not - it should be harsh. Accident on the really busy Parc Royal junction of the North Circ, biker taken out, stumbling around and we were the only people to stop and help.
We coned off the bike, took some photos, made sure he was safe and that the police and ambulance were on the way - the thanks we got? Shouting from drivers who were forced to divert around the damaged bike demanding that it was moved ASAP.
Makes me sick…I had to have a go at a silly bi*ch in a car yesterday who was trying to get a little too dangerous…no need for it. Hope the rider’s alright.
I was driving the car at the time - the rider was knocked off by a driver in the wrong lane trying to turn right - he was filtering through - 50/50 blame split IMHO.
But the drivers were just driving around him in the road I couldn’t believe it - stopped the car in the middle of the road to protect him and got him to the side of the road safely - coned off his bike and got the traffic moving around the accident - called the police and ambulance and took a couple of photographs for the chap… took a whole 20 mins.
bloody w******
cage drivers get up my goat when things like this happen or other things
i was deliviring up london around victoria last week with a driver and blind man with a white stick wanted to cross the road so i told the driver to stop who did and then got out the cab and stopped the other side of road and helped him across, nobody else stopped not even pedestrians to help hiom cross
and i even got beepeed at by car drivers and got called name just because it was about 8.45am and there gonna go to work, it really got up my goat
This is ridiculous!!! how can people go home and act as nothing happend, how can they sleep when they know a fellow human being was hurt and they just ignored it!!
I think this doesnt happen in smaller cities or town, I think that because we are in london, where noone knows anyone, nonone has time, and we all care only about #1
Maybe there needs to be some education (similar to DVLAs dirnk/driving shock ads) about :
“if you see someone in need: YOU HAVE TO STOP AND HELP”!
sadly, this doesn’t suprise me at all about London. Good thing you were there tho Matt, it means a lot to someone to have a helping hand at a time like that
several years ago i came off on diesel on a roundabout in South London, and it was so slippery i couldn’t get my feet planted to lift my bike up
Noone stopped to help - not even when i went up to the cars who couldn’t get past due to my bike being in the way, and politely asked if they could give me a hand. Even had 2 bikes go past
so i just sat dwn in the road and let everyone be held up finally a kind lady pedestrian helped me out, while hurling abuse at all the people who were just sitting there
