Visers

Hi all

has anyone got any advice for polishing small scratches out of my visor. i heard metal polish works on plastic but dont know about transparent plastic

cheers

The trouble with any metal polish is that it is abrasive and leaves millions of tiny scratches on your visor which are fine until you ride at night and it makes lights glare.

I’ve heard jewellers rouge is the best stuff to use.

Personally, if it gets that bad I’d bin it.

DONT DO IT!!!

Your visor is made from polycarb. and is a ‘soft’ plastic with a hard coating…it scratches easily…and once scratched you cannot remove the scratches

so either a) live with it or b) replace it

thats all you can do i’m afraid

My ignorance is astounding.

thanks for the reply everyone. It’s not a bad lid but scratched to buggery. I have used it almost everyday for 2 years…i think it’s time for new one. Incidently Fabreeze works wonders on the lining.
