video converter.....need help.

Hi,

I have a Panasonic Lumix tz5, it shoots high def video which is cool, however I need to convert the footage from MOV files so I can post them.

I’m a bit of a ludite when it comes to video, can anybody help?

Try the AVS Video Converter at http://www.avs4you.com - will convert .mov files to MPEG, SWF (Flash files) for the internet, plus DVD, MP4, 3GP, WMV AND RM files if you so wish.

Cost is about 20 quid to download from site for years license and a bit more for lifetime license (plus you get to use all of their other groovy software products) - I used it when I needed to convert some .wmv files to QuickTime.mov files overnight in a hurry and didn’t have time to go to PC world etc and buy off-the-shelf software - It worked really well and was simple to use (plus you get advanced controls if you want to convert the file using bespoke settings).

It’s a great product - but if you have the time you might want to compare prices and licensing with boxed software at PC world etc.

It’s free too…

I always use aimersoft video convertr, it can easily convert video audio with high quality, that’s really nice

I have just downloaded videora for free & am going to have a play this weekend. Will report back. Apparently it’s good for converting dvd’s to mp4 format for putting on yer pod.

“Super” is a very good video coding application, which I use to get movies on my mobile phone:

(Haven’t used it for a while now mind; the novelty of looking at a tiny screen has worn off!)

This is also good for converting dvds for iPod
