Very close call.....

while out ripping up one of my favorite roads last night (Stony Creek Road in rural Cowley County)…overcooked a blind (hidden behind an uphill climb) left hander…

I let my concentration wander for just a moment and completely blew the corner entry…was forced to pick the bike up and ride it off into the grass along the side of the road…fortunately, I got stopped while still on two wheels.

The moral of the story? I’m not sure but I know that bit of “off roading” sharpened my focus A LOT for the remainder of the ride.

Close one mate, glad all ended well … someone up there was watching out for you !

Yeah…it had the potential to end very poorly. I finally got it stopped about 18 inches from a rather nasty looking barbed wire fence. YIKES

Good recovery, Gregster! Glad you didn’t end up in the barbed wire!

How’s this for a close call: was riding to work on Wednesday behind a young lad on a scooter. A pretty girl jogged past on the other side of the road and he ogled at her. While doing this, he veered almost infront of a lorry, but managed to avoid it just in time! What made me laugh out loud was what he did next: he clearly said “D’oh!” to himself, as he hit himself on the head.

It’ll put hairs on your chest it will

Wasn’t wearing a Simpson helmet by any chance was he?
