Tyres for the missus's bike

My missus has an 55 plate bandit 650. Her tyres are squared off big time and she needs to get some that let her go round corners!

What do you reckon for road riding, doing about 5000 a year all weathers. BT014’s?

No need for super sticky compounds.

Brigsy.

dunno about the 014s mate but Im running diablo strada’s on my GSX750 which is a heavy old bus, its the 2nd set Ive had now and they good wet or dry and long lasting, not the latest tyre but Im confident on them.

My Michelin 2CT’s have done about 5000 miles and no sign of squaring off yet and more miles to go. My bike came with BT015’s which are I think the same as the 014 - they made it feel nervous and slippy in the wet. The 2CT’s transformed it, more stable, better grip and incredible wet performance, really impressive.

I’ve got the 2CT Road version, not the 2CT Power.

I’m with Yslart on this one - Michelin Road Pilot 2’s (not the originals) they cost a bit more, but you are easily gonna get 8,000 out of a rear on them, as for grip, can’t fault them wet or dry…014’s are a more sporty tyre, bridgestones do the 021’s which are more tourer orientated, but havent tried them myself.

how does she ride?

im currently riding a 650 bandit with 014s… and i hate them! never seem to get any heat in them and can get twitchy without warning

i would get the road pilot 2’s any day of the week, we have 3 bikes with them on now and they have made a big difference to all of them, and because of the dual compound, they dont square off like regular tyres do

hope that helps you decide

Cheers Guys. Do we mean the PP or the PP2ct’s?

These are what I have:
