tyre plugging west london

can anyone let me know where i can get tyres plugged in west london (shepherds bush, holland park, ladbrooke grove, harrow road etc)

ta

There is one down Harrow Road way, open Saturdays too, we have used it, but the trouble is our memory is failing with age & we can’t remember exactly where:w00t:

Turn right from Ladbroke on to Harrow road the shop is on the right
Or Franco’s On the Harrow road towards Harlesden

It’s called The Motorcycle Service Centre on Harrow Rd.

cheers guys

susie has managed to get her first puncture, bless. screw was part out so think she must have got it in the street parking up:pinch:

Hi,

I got a tyre plugged by Hexagon in Chiswick for £30 I think it was. Good service, friendly, professional - just a bit expensive.

http://www.hexagonmotorcycles.co.uk/

After getting the tyre plugged I ended up getting completely new tyres at Essential Rubber - £95 inc VAT a tyre. (Hexagon £115 + VAT I believe). Kind of wish I’d just pumped up the tyre to the max and driven over, or taken my pump with me.

Cheers

Alex

bit late now but i had a tyre plugged at srs motorcycles W6 7PP (no where near as good/quick as FWR but it was an emergency)

Hi, that must have been a while ago  They’re just around the corner from my flat (or at least … were)

I think SRS changed their name to Hammersmith Motorcycles, but they seem to have been closed for 6 months at least now. They were on the expensive side too, and I had a few doubts about their quality.

Cheers,

Alex

Don’t quite get this post. So you had it professionally plugged then replaced th tyre at another garage anyway? Was the plug leaking?

The price diff in tyres was about 30 quid anyway?

Yes - a bit over-the-top - but the front tyre needed replacing, and the rear (with plug) had a couple of thousand miles left in but a bit “old technology” apparently. The plug was fine.

Being as I was at Essential Rubber and their prices were so good - I decided to get both tyres changed and upgrade to more modern Michelins.

Also, thought better to get done in one go - and not take half a Saturday queuing outside Essential Rubber, as friendly as that was

I think Hexagon were charging £115+VAT for the front, but more for the rear. Essential Rubber were charging the same £95 inc VAT for both tyres possibly with a bit of LB discount too - bargain!

No regrets at all about the new tyres - been great on the road, and recent track days

now that i think about it must been more than 6months ago…
