I used to live near the Rosendale pub (shite pub!). Was quite nice there. Cheaper housing as it’s close to shitty West Norwood, while still being quite nice. Yeah, the village and park are nice, but have you seen the prices?!?!?!
Yuo can get plenty buses in from there. X68 goes fast from West Norwood to Waterloo without stopping, which is nice. 30 mins on a bus into town is epic! The 2 from Norwood, the 3 from Croxted Road. Trains from West Dulwich is something like 10 mins into Victoria or London Bridge.
The Rosendale appears to have been revamped Pussyhorse - well, last year anyway, according to Beerintheevening. According to that site a fair few of the pubs in the area have changed hands recently! Still, my Dad drinks in Govan (usually in the Reform Club), where the philosopher in your avatar is from, always some interesting folk there. I also used to work in the Maryhill Social Club - both interesting places!
The Rosendale has changed hands again and been done up more as a pub again, though I haven’t been in since it was done up. I hated it when it was a foodie place. The pretentious snobby twat that ran it deserved to go out of business. The staff were useless too.
Stuart, I’m actually originally from Wishaw, just outside Glasgow. I moved away when I was 18 coughs years ago. Never knew Glasgow that well when I was there. Since then I’ve lived in many more shiteholes all over the world.
