Trying to sell my bike but no luck any tips would be helpful

I am trying to sell my cbr 600 on autotrader and gumtree but no luck people think I am so desperate and give silly offers…any tips by gurus would be helpful.

the bike has done 33k and engine and looks wise its 8 on a 10 scale.

£1,800 seems OK, although there is a more tidy tundercat with 23K on there for £1,650… 33K is considered pretty high for this type of bike (although mechanically it might be pretty sound, it is a honda after all). Does it have newish tyres/chain+sprockets/any tuning on it, all worthy of mention if they are new. Good information sells a bike - just seen your ad on gumtree as 'p reg, good condition, 34000 miles, black ’ that isnt really enough, and there are no photos. Also you is it the same one as your avatar picture? that isnt black…Failing gumtree you can go on Ebay and let the market decide, but this is one of the worst times of the year to be selling…might be better to hold on until spring…

Also the colour of yours is not the best (only being honest here, sorry) and given there are very many of this type of bike around it could be a deal clincher for some.

I traded my 00 CBR with 3k more miles than yours with fairing damage for £2000 just this summer so it should be very easy to get something close.:wink:

Ah right, yeah seen the ad now, lots of detail and photos, thats good enough, price is about the same as above, (£1750) so seems reasonable. Points mde before still hold, this is the most difficult time of the year to sell, but give her a polish (and repost on gumtree, the way it works, the old posts goes off the screen pretty quickly)

i sold my cbr600f 98 model 56000miles great condition for 500pound i put a sign on it outside hien gerrike within 10mins someone came over to me with the money gone gone gone:)
