Track Days

Can anyone recommend a good website to book track days?

I’d like a track near London (is Brands Hatch the closest?) and an idea of how much I should expect to pay for a half day.

Found a couple sites but they seem to be selling ‘experience’ days and they’re fully booked for months. I’ve got a bike and leathers, just need a session where I can get a good briefing with instruction and some free time to practice.

Cheers,

Rob

welcome

ive done both msv & focussed events @ brands and cant recomend them enough very well run lots of track time and safe in my opinion, .i did my first one with msv & lb on 29th april this year and just cant get enough of it, i am going to silverstone on the 25th (focussed events)in the novice group as i have only ever done brandshatch and i will be booking some instruction there too.

if its your first experience on track the ron haslam race school is good, its not cheap compared to track days but you’ll be in a safer environment with instructors and stuff, then hit the track days…

Post on here about it, there may be other people going to brands if you’re looing to book something…

Perfect - thanks.

One other question - do I need specific insurance for a track day? I’m assuming my regular insurance doesn’t cover it but I’d like to know if it’s a must-have in order to ride.

Rob

its not a must have to ride and no, your regular insurance wont cover you. there is a company that i know can cover you, but only for injury to you, rather than the bike. if you want details, ill dig it out.

http://www.pitandpaddock.com/personal_injury.asp acording to the website they do bike cover too?

It’s the bike I’m worried about :smooooth:Better get some crash bungs and hope for the best…

dunno how much they charge but i have to say i’ve never bothered with it, always just put it down to the risk you take with track days. If you like em get a cheap track hack then it doenst matter…

see what the charge and look at hiring a bike from a track day organiser…

+1 THATS WHAT I DID
