all shop staff on Old Kent Road were sent home. Aparantly something to do with a stop and search this time?? not sure how true that is but its ridiculous regardless
send in the army the police seem helpless, poor sods are getting attacked and are so out numberd they just got to stand there and take it . just seen on sky news in hackney
I think we should make the ‘London Bikers Vigilantes’.
My plan is…
A group of us goes in first with water guns full of petrol and squirts anything that moves. One group gets the left on group gets the right.
The next group goes in with fags and throws it anywhere soaked.
By the time anyone has any time to react we’ll be gone.
For anyone that thinks I’m joking… I’m not. I reckon if you do one group the rest of them will **** off. As I said earlier if they like fire lets give it to them. Its true what they say “if you play with fire you get burnt”.
Brixton was badly affected last night - when I returned from the ride out it was like a car park, with traffic going nowhere, crowds, people with loud hailers and police. Today also Brixton was shut and south London was a bit mental traffic wise returning home. I heard things were spreading to Lewisham. I had not heard about Hackney until reading this thread. I might think about returning to Afghanistan, I think I was a lot safer there.
I have taken the necessary measures as I prepare to ride home via Brixton, Old Kent Road, Lewisham and Mitcham. Profile picture updated accordingly. Tally-Ho!
Watch out LIM - just went down Old Kent Road and was passed by about 5 riot vans pelting it towards the City (Hackney I guess) and when I came to New Cross all hell broke loose with the local police chasing down to Lewisham Centre. Counted 19 police vans going down Lewisham Way in the time that I parked up the bike. Helicopter started flying now. Not good
I feel very sorry for the small business owners, home owners and those employed by larger stores who have lost their homes, livelihoods and jobs because of it. Some of those people may have big problems claiming on the insurance and have literally lost everything overnight. So the ‘collateral damage’ is the ordinary people within our communities - the people who will have to start again - not the ‘system’ , the police, or whoever and whatever the target was supposed to be.
