i used to work in the london ambulance control, could certainly tell you some tales.

one woman rang because her wedding stuck on her finger. no injury, no pain, she just wanted it removed, and because she insisted on an ambulance to take her to hospital to remove it we had to send it!

For the last five years of her life my late wife could only be transported by ambulance, careful what you write if you don’t know the full facts.

In Canada if you make a fake 911 call you are charged for it, why can they not do that in the UK?

Funny you should say that because a few mts ago I was really ill and my girl friend called 999 (and I hate to see doctors) and they refused to send an ambulance! Even though I taught I was going to die! They told me to call the out of hours doctor. luckily the person I purchased my house from was a doctor and she called her and she came over.
