That is a real shame. I grew up with him too – the man was a genius.

I particularly like what Rolf Harris said about him: “a very gentle and talented guy. He inspired a whole generation of kids into creating their own works of art, simple or complex”.

Sad news… although I never quite forgave him for not showing my drawing of a rocket I sent in to The Gallery.
