I had the same dilemma with my CBR600RR. I looked at various brackets, including custom and tank brackets but none were really suitable and many meant the TomTom wasn’t located in the best/safest place. In the end I found a company who manufacture mounts which attach to the centre of the steering column (embarrassingly I’ve forgotten the proper term). Depending on the manufacturer year of your bike the mount either slides into the top of the column (it’s on a threaded shaft with rubber surround so you can then tighten it so it expands against the tube) or it replaces a screw on the electronic steering damper box of the blade. It can be easily removed if required and you can use the mount supplied with the TomTom which then clamps to the Telferizer mount.

I will get you a picture of my TomTom using the mount on my bike if it helps ?

I wonder why these sites dont show any prices, it bugs me when people advertise goods but no price. Maybe i am not looking hard enough for the price list:angry:

ANYWAY thanks for the post i got the same question and thanks for the reply’s with the links.

I had my tomtom attached to my mirror arm, but i am changing my mirrors so i need to put it somewhere differant. The top yoke seems the obvious place so i am sure one of those attachments will work, didnt someone on LB used to make yoke clamps for the tomtom?

No problem, I found it to be the best solution so far.

Top yoke, I knew there was a name for it

Guys, I contacted http://www.telferizer.com/ and subsequently I recieved an email with directions to call Bob, real helpful guy he explained he can supply the mount and i need to get another bit to connect to tomtom rider version 1. He gave me the part number etc to get it myself, i have placed my order so when it arrives i will give you some feedback:cool:

had the same mount from telfarizer on my k4 gsxr it works really well that bob guy is a real good bloke

Ram mounts work well, I attached it to my Handlebar, a liitle left of center so it clears the “clocks”. That thing is ON there. When I don’t want it to be stolen I take the cradle with me, and leave the base attached (the actual handle bar mount).

I use the one that fits in the hole in the centre of the top yoke, works great
