Cheers that was easy! And there was me looking for some complex techie answer!
Just one more question…how long does the headset and Tom Tom take to charge? And what kind of battery life do you get on the headset?
So far Im quite impressed…just want my bike back!
I’ve not really used the headset - it’s a pain in the arse, I find any spoken direction a pain - much easier for me to just glance at the map… but I belive Charlie left his on for 5 days and it still did a 5 hour trip for him…

I usualy charge the bluetooth unit every other day. Mine is on all day too.
The TTR is hard wired on the bike, and I’ve got the 12v charger for the Lorry.
apparently the reason why they sometimes take a while to pick up a signal is they way in which it gets its initial marker
it sweeps periodically and if anything interupts that signal whilst it gets a fix it starts teh process again (so tree cover, something in a built up area interfering with the signal etc) so you end up a fair way down the road before it has a clue sometimes (allegedly)…
My only gripe was it got totally confused in Paris and took me round in circles for an hour because the parallel roads and underground roads completely through it.
Cheers for the adive last night Matt, it`s the tomtom rider for me.
