As you can see form the title I own a ET2 50 and I would like to ask if any of you know where I can get it tuned to go faster. I know, it is a 50cc and it supposes to go slow but sometime I just wish it has few more horses and go a bit faster on a windy day.
I am sure you guys would say I should get a 125 but money is the problem and I can’t sell the 50 to finance it either because I’ve dropped a few times so it doesn’t look very nice although it is mechanically good. Anyway, I have been looking on the net and I saw someone said they can get their ET2 50 to 60mph by changing a few things e.g. after market exhaust, roller weights, springs & fitted a polini air filter.
I have already have a after market exhaust and it can go to about 40mph on a good day, so I am just wondering if any of you have any experience regarding tuning a ET2 50 and can recommend me a garage that is in north London (I live in Islington) can help me.
If money is tight, I wouldn’t start. Ultimately it’s going to be cheaper in the long run to trade it for a 125. Tuning bits that work don’t come cheap and your bike will be less reliable.
Assuming your license allows you to ride a derestricted 50, any dealer will be able to make a couple of cheap adjustments that will give you an extra 10mph.
The question is do I still need to get the jet for the carb and weight rollers if I get it done in the garage? The thing is I don’t have the space and skill to do it myself so I am going to find someone to do it for me. Do you think the mechanics will be able to get those things themselves?
One more thing, Shiver or anyone who know which garage in north london will be able to do it for me?
