Think im more excited than my five year old!

Woo Hoo.He still runs round in circles at 5 years old, plays with his colour bib over his head, fails to listen to instruction sometimes, but today…

He ran up and down the pitch, tackled like Steve Bruce-solid, and scored a goal.

(Dad here informed the coach that my boy had been practising his dribbling and shooting skills after school all week and he was really up for it today, haha-pushy dad!)

Still now hes had the trophy once, its given him 110% confidence and well give it back next week, for someone else, maybe ill back off a bit now.lol

Make a massive deal out of it!!!

I coach kids footy and at that age fun is the only thing that matters.

Well done

There is no finer feeling in the world than being a proud mum or dad:)

Well done little fella:cool:

That’s great, give as much encouragement as possible kids thrive and excel on it.

Well done Cols lad.

Very well said chunky. i still sit up at night to watch my 4yrs old sleep and everytime his learnt a new thing the excitement on his face is more than money can afford. Well done little man keep it up

Where was this? I was at Yeading (Formerly) FC today where they held their annual football tournament for 20th time. Even the weather didnt put a dampner on the day it was great to watch.

All the kids where running round like lemmings did we really do that when we were kids:w00t:

ha ha, brought back memories for me…all those months of standing on side line…bringing the drinks and food etc…making sure your little man was all kitted out and had his brekkie before a game !! ah but i miss all that…nowdays he makes his own way to training and games …dont need mum no more…i just get a free ticket (sometimes) to his games…

My boy had a football for a friend from the age of 3…slept, ate you name it, with it…we went from club to club and he ended up at a club called Senrab, after playing with romford royals, barking colts, and a few in leyton area…he played for the county and district teams and at 15 went to a known club on their youth training scheme…went to west ham youth and arsenal camps ended up at leyton orient…from there he won medals etc and was named the next Sol Cambell in the footy magazines…he was then sent off to Newcastle with Bobby Robson, came back to his club, and picked up a injury that needed surgery…put him out of the game for about a few seasons, he tried to come back and was hit by injury after injury…contract run out, and he went to lower league clubs…got disheartened, gave up tried to find work, couldnt do it, and one day a manager who knew him, persuaded him to come back into the game…so off he went to Weymouth FC, they got promoted and he got sold on to another club, meant he came back my way…so much so that hes back at home with me…hes been with this club for 2 seasons now, theres 4 more clubs interested at the mo, and im waiting to see what his next move will be…proud?? yeh you betcha still, after all these years!!! ive got all his medals and tropheys…some are in crystal glass…with his picture etched in …ive even got his very first champagne man of the match bottle unopened !!! how sads that ??? but i wont touch it…

So you go there with ur boy and keep him doing what he loves…but be warned, youve got loads of days standing in the cold and rain and then the other side, roasting in the sun !!! long days for the 5 asides etc too !! but end of the day?..you will never forget it… And if hes lucky enough to get an agent etc…then you will have all the programmes and papers with his name in, every game he plays…just like i do !!! And what gives you an even bigger buzz? seeing grown men with your sons name on their football shirts !!! :w00t: and watching little boys run across the pitch to get his signature…ha ha… end of season just gone? they had a charity match…at the end of it, all the kiddies run onto the pitch, a couple jumped on him and just pulled his shirt off !!! :stuck_out_tongue: i love it !!!

Good for your son though !!! hope he does really well…

Thats brilliant. My 6 year old daughter has been asked if she wants to play football for the school but as there are only boys playing she said no.
She very good and plays with both feet, i`m going to find an all girls footbsll acadamy for her as all she wants to do is play football for the Arsenal ladies and England.

After training at West Ham at chadwell heath, they used to have the ladies come in for their sessions? Tell you what…and from what ive seen over the years…some of them can half play !! And theres nothing butch about them either…

So, if its what she really wants to do, then i say take her and find a club…just go for it …who knows she could end up in the arsenal womans team…who are brill !!!
