Think I'm Mad!!

Well, was off work again this week with me bad leg. So p*ssed off and fed up that I’ve decided to try other ways of exercising to help raise my fitness levels as basic walking is not only boring but the dog is getting bored…LOL!!

Dave and I are gonna start swimming as its fantastic for my legs. But that’s not all. I wanted to do summin that meant Jet could get a better work out when she was out for a walk on the days we/I couldn’t take her to the woods which are 5 miles from home.

Sooooooo, I bought a pair of Roller Boots! Not Roller blades, wouldn’t be able to take the pressure on my legs, but the normal ones aren’t so bad. They arrived today and after a quick spin in the kitchen to get used to them and revitalise my childhood skill…I took to the streets of the Estate! I even impressed some local kids who wanted to have a go, so I told them to buy a pair of roller boots and a dog.

Jet was a bit wary of the wheels and wouldn’t pull me…but then I’ve spent a long time training her not to pull on the lead…so just gotta get her trained up to know the difference so she’ll walk nicely when I’m not on the wheels and pull when I’m on them!

Was a good work out…I was knackered and know I’ll suffer for a while…but I’m sure it’ll be worth it. Jet enjoyed it and managed to get a good run and even panted for about 30 seconds at one point. :w00t: We were gone for about 30 mins and when I called Dave to tell him he was in hysterics…no idea why!? :ermm:

I think we’ll be buying a couple of Mountain Bikes as well after Christmas…even better work out for the dog! :w00t:

Well done u:D thats how i lost 3 stone after having 2 kids…used to race round hyde park on me rollerboots pushing the pushchair lol:w00t: and would’nt be without me mountainbike best thing after the hornet of course, keep it up luvvie

Rollerboots are cooler than blades and way cooler than mountain bikes. Power to you!

I still have my boots up in the loft . . . maybe I’ll dust those babies down and get them some street action!

I wonder if Scooters in East Grinstead is still open . . ? :stuck_out_tongue:

Go for the mountain bike dogs love it! and if you have them kids dont moan about getting knackered on a long ride!

 Go for it Zeus!

Nice pooches Hegerty!

It’s quite satisfying being generally fit, get things done much quicker day to day with less tiredness and fuss.

I do 10-15 hours mountain biking a week. I AM mad.

Well…I’m officially knackered…LOL! Every muscle in my body is aching and today was only the second day.

Mind you, I like aching muscles cos then I know I’m doing summin.
