Kind of think it’s a bit melodramatic and sanctimonious to be honest.
The stuff he is showing (getting cut up in central London) is just routine stuff that happens every 50 seconds if you are riding in London rush hour - surely you guys agree as you must have experienced it yourself.
As for saying ‘most of us are not like this’ - (showing the rider accelerating between cars) - really?!:w00t: A high proportion of the riders I see in london ride like this because it is the only and safest way to get through the congestion as it doesn’t expose you to the oncoming traffic.
It might be disconcerting to be in a car and have a bike roar past inches from your mirrors but that’s the way it is and if you don’t like it then get out of your car and get on a bus or tube and help ease the congestion problem like we are by being on two wheels!
As for the tinkly piano music - it’s the kind of soundtrack they use in a charity video for the NSPCC! Kind of makes us out to be victims or something - which were not - we all made a conscious descision to ride bikes knowing that they expose us to more risk than other road users.
Sorry mate - nothing personal - but this kind of thing makes me want to switch on youtube and watch some guy breaking the law on his R1 to the sound of ‘Ace of Spades’ as an antidote. ;)
Agreed, nothing much done wrong by any driver in that vid (maybe the yellow box, but you could still see it coming a mile away)
Posting himself nearly running into a car pulling out of a parking space doesn’t make a great point on how ‘safe’ bikers are or highlight the ‘dangerousness’ of drivers.

& yes, I see this stuff all the time, a lot worse than shown in the vid too… I just liked it so thought I’d share it. I’m constantly having to avoid idiots in cars who never look around them or think that bikers are completely expendable on the roads.

He seems to make a big issue of all incidents (I looked at a couple of his vids) - Hyde Park Corner/Park Lane/Marble Arch is always like that as is most of London - the smart riders have seen these a long way off and have positioned themselves accordingly to breeze through without incident (some of his other vids). Meanwhile he has wobbled to a halt and is complaining.
I think he must have issues with anger management as well poor observational skills and shows a lack of common courtesy in at least one of the videos:D
Oh…he is also regularly late for work
You can also make things more dangerous for yourself by stopping in the middle of the road to shout at someone as you are busy concentrating on telling them off whilst everyone else has to take evasive actions.
