well first off big thanks to ginge for taking me to north city, top guy, sausage n coffee on me at bmm next week, pick the bike up, decide to go for a ride to the tea hut with ginger but had to go get some petrol, went in filled up paid, start engine, WTF the fault light has come on again, right straight back into the dealers, motor went this time that operates the cable for the exhaust valves or sumthing, so whilst i waited they quickly whipped 1 of a new 1 that was due to be collected some time next week and away i left a happy chappy.
But wait it gets better, pullled up at traffic lights right near home, no surely not again!!! yep u guessed it, the fault light on again!!!
in all fairness cant fault the guys at north city they done a top job looking after me and the bike and they are now baffled themselves so look out triumph a nice email is on the way to you
i do love this bike when its goin but omg it seems it spent more bloody time in the dealers than on the road, so along with the help of my dealer gonna get something sorted out with triumph…hopefully
You’ll get nowhere with a letter to Triumph, I’ve seen many a letter written to them and their replies are unsympathetic most of the time, many have been posted on forums,… they don’t give two hoots.
Hang in there. They are bound to find the fault and fix it. No point going Jap after a nice Triumph. I should know. Nowt beats a nice triple engine on song.
No Hondas, Suzukis and others ! Triumph is the only choice
If it’s not fixable they will replace it! Believe me all this hassle is worth to be 675 Triple rider !
hahaha Mechainis out of motorbikes. Thats the italians for ya! Waited 6 weeks for a pressure plate for me clutch on my RS125 back in 2000. baaarstards spend all day on siesta
2500 miles on the 1098, ridden in all weathers inc snow(shakedown) and nothing wrong with her…a good thumping twin chap you know you wanna…in fact, no don’t, keep the trumpet makes mine more exclusive then. LOL:w00t:
