Looks like there might be cameras going in halfway down mad mile (A217), they have got the concrete bases and fixings in the ground already.
There goes my personal top speed testing strip:crying:

Just come and use the M3 works a treat for me eh Chen:D
They won’t be happy until they can photograph us taking a sh1t. . .
It was only a matter of time with the recent accidents, I set some pretty reasonable times there too when I lived in Sutton
M3 is one Mway where I feel relatively relaxed - hope this doesn’t change.
I may be going against the grain here, and I’m not a fan of speed cameras being there just to make easy money from motorists, which they seem to often be, but…
good.
That road is plagued with dangerous users, I’ve seen some godawful driving down there. Used to see tyre marks all over the road from someone thinking it’s a race track the night before. Never felt safe going down there for fear of someone else behaving like a pr*ck.
I know what you mean, been using the M3 since work location changed to Aldershot a couple of weeks ago. Nice and quiet last Monday at 0530 hrs so thought I’d see what my bike was capable of. Awesome.shando

There are moments when I seriously think of buying a big, mother of an angle grinder.

they’re too clever for that , they mount them really high now , those new digi ones are on massive poles , i had to get a ladder out the other day because the lighter fluid wouldn’t squirt that high. :Whistling:

Well it will just be ‘the mad half mile’… or the ‘mad 2 halves of a mile’
Powerfull air rifle.
I gotta be honest…it’s a known drag strip, and i’m suprised cameras didn’t go up years ago…tho i’ve never seen an accident there…someone can correct me, but aren’t cameras supposed to go in ‘accident blackspots’? I’ve never seen a crash there…anyone else?..and the only pedestrians that cross it are golfers!
That’s OK then, golfers don’t count anyway.
awe! I love the mad mile, many a day down there destroying idiots in cars who think they can play. And its the only road I do it on too
:crying:
theres been loads of bad smashes there, some involving inoccent motorists passing by and chavs in there nova’s  used to be rgeat for bikes years ago but sadly the pricks in there cars ruin it for all…

The whole A217 down to the M25 is plagued by lunatic riding and driving for over 20 years. Bit by bit it has had the speed limit dropped from national speed limit so it now has a five mile section of dual carriageway with loads of cameras enforcing a 40mph limit. I hope those who enjoy racing and crashing on it are happy. This camera is just a new addition and I am not surprised. A least two bikers have died on the section running two miles south of Belmont in the last six weeks.
