The British media shows it's prejudice and discrimination.

Is it just me or has anyone else noticed the complete lack of coverage being given to the Paralympics.

Did anyone know that the cycling team won 5 golds today? If it had been Hoy, Wiggins, Remero et al the press would have been ******** themselves with glee.

At present Team GB are second in the table behind China with 34 medals, 16 of them golds, which is fast approaching their able bodied counterparts but the news is treating them as nothing more than a foot note.

Rank Country Gold Silver Bronze TOTAL
1 China 16 21 16 53
2 Great Britain 16 11 7 34
3 United States 10 5 11 26
4 Ukraine 8 5 10 23
5 Brazil 8 4 5 17
6 Australia 7 8 11 26
6 Russia 7 3 9 19
8 Spain 5 9 6 20
9 South Africa 5 0 1 6
10 Germany 4 10 8 22

Rant over

I think it’s disgraceful personally
I bet when it’s over they don’t get greeted at the airport by the news.

Hardly a lack of coverage, I am seeing plenty. Radio 5 has loads of coverage, but I wish they would explain what they mean by “200 metres CP3” so I could understand what was going on (something to do with Cerebral Palsy I believe). Pressing the red button on Freeview offers highlights, the BBC website has medal results on the front page of the news just like the Olympics the other week, all the papers I have read (and I get to read most papers most days) have had regular coverage, and not just in the sports pages.

But Sky and BBC had 24/7 coverage on the main channel, not hidden away behind the red button.

Every 15 minutes it was Olympic coverage.

The screen shot is from the UK news front page of 5 minutes ago. The 5 golds take second place to a football story. It’s just wrong
