Italian manufacturer The Black Douglas Motorcycle Co have produced a new bike for 2012 that mixes old school with modern.
The bike is powered by a 200 cc single-cylinder 4-stroke engine producing 17 hp, and complies with Euro 3.
A 125 cc version as well as an electrical version are also in the works.
The bike weighs 220 pounds has a 10 litres capacity fuel tank and is claimed to be very economical.
All models will be hand-built and can be customized. There is also a large aftermarket catalogue that include pillion seat, paniers and various fuel tank colors.
The Sterling should become available in Europe this April for 9,900 €
40 bikes will be produced this year with doubling of production once the Sterling goes global.
