Well it finaly made itself known, the rear spring on a stick has given up the ghost on my TLS. Obviously that run out with JS and the gang was the last straw.
So now I am looking at a Bitubo unit to relpace the whole thing. An expense I could’ve done without but one which will make the already awsome TLS that extra little bit special.
Hopefully won’t be long but waiting on cheques is never a fun time.
On the up side, shold be etting my new work bike soon, a bandit 650. Two Suzies can’t be bad.
Can you get the shock rebuilt to save a few pennies? That’s what I’m doing for my Kawa - I’ve tracked down a couple of specialists in Redhill and Newbury.
Unfortunately it can’t be rebuilt, and thanks chunks but with the cash I’ve been throwing at it my wallet is now on the verge of siezing completely…:w00t:
Apparently that’s the case with the TL. It’s the spring on a stick that goes. You can lube it like I did but this is only delaying the enevitable. It did take a few thousand miles and got rough enough to feel the viberation through the frame.
If it’s a TL you have, and if like all us TL owners you love it, then start saving but don’t worry it’s not the worlds most exoensive replacement part. Unless you want an Ohlins.
