You may think that this is rant about White Van drivers But its not in fact thanks to one nice guy in a transit im still he to tell the tall, as you remember Monday was SHT day and i headed off home on my bandit down the A2 half way home and in the outside lane at 70 mph the engine cut out and would not restart, now the conditions where not ideal and i was trying to get over to the hard shoulder but no FCKER would let me even though i s was slowing very quicky, then White Van man pulled in behind me and covered my back side over to the hard shoulder, not before some twat tried to over take me while i was still in the outside lane in his tansit flatbed!
I thanked him and he went on his way, restore some faith in human nature.
all i need to do now is get the bandit fixed as it wont even crank and it not seized…

never know the guy might ride bikes as well and saw what was going on.
I ran out of petrol and had to do the same on the North Circular. Luckily it was really early so there wasn’t much traffic …still pretty scary though. Pleased he helped you across and you are okay 
i had this happen to me in the outside lane, i had knocked the kill switch and did not notice.

i like it when drivers hear a bike coming down a line of traffic, that hidden side road with a car pulling out…they stick there arm out the wndow in case you havent seen it, nice one:)
Yeah ! and much as I hate to admit it, it’s usually van drivers who do it

I ran out of petrol when I was on the Divvy heading to work in Charlton one day and had to push the bike nearly a mile to the garage. What was daft is I passed a Sainsburys but didn’t see it cos it was up a road. Anyway, got the bike filled but couldn’t start her cos the battery was flat. Nice van driver asked if I needed to jump start her and said he rode bikes and we had to help each other out. He had a set of leads, got her started and then stood with me for 10 mins to make sure she’d start again when I tested to make sure she had enough power.
What a nice man he was!
No idea whats wrong yet, I must have list the spark (as it cut out) and the bike wont crank over, at first i thought the alarm maybe the issue but no luck there after i by passed it. Im more use to working with car electrics, bike eletrics are a pain with all the side stand switches and clutch switchs!
Will take it to a friend of mine tomorrow and leave it with him for the week, hell fix it
