with 3 minors … (was convinced I’d failed 3 minutes in so that took the pressure off)
Examiner said in the earpiece “the next 3 roundabouts go straight ahead” … went around the first and carried on down to the second … but noticed in my mirror I’d left the examiner behind and he was in no rush to catch me up so thought I’d probably missed a sign changing the speed limit … ran the other two roundabouts at 20 … lo and behold after I came off the third roundabout there was a sign … “end of 20 zone - back to 30”. Afterwards he said there was nobody about and I didn’t go tearing through the whole section at 30 so it wasn’t a big deal. Had I shot off/not been looking in the mirrors to see I’d left him for dead - it would have been another story.
Other two were silly things … going down a dual carriageway there were a few parked cars on the left side and the right lane was dead - I waited till I was up to the cars before changing lanes rather than doing it as soon as I saw there was nobody in the right lane.
Finally … two mini roundabouts next to each other … he said straight ahead on the first one left on the second one … I went straight on the first and nearly straight on the second but changed lanes … said if I’d been paying attention I’d have been in the right lane in the first place which is a fair point.
All irrelevant anyway … got a lovely certificate for my efforts
Now … can anyone reccomend someone to speak to about restricting a 1997 BMW F650 to 33bhp? The school I did my training with said their mechanic could do it but I’d have to get the bike to Edgware from my work car park in the City … so … any ideas for an alternative?
Ta!
Chris
