Tailoring biker jeans to fit better

Hi everyone. I’m new to the forum. Haven’t even bought a bike yet, but I’ve started buying my gear. I’ve had my full licence for 11 years now but I’ve never had a safe place to park a bike until now.

I’ve been trying to find a pair of jeans that fit well. I’ve tried so many brands of jeans and cargos but none of them work well for me (I guess I’m non-standard build). I recently ordered a pair of Hood SK11s which are the closest thing to a good fit, so I’m keeping them.

I want to make some alterations to them (yes I know, I risk losing the CE rating). I need a recommendation for someone who can make some adjustments. Things I’m thinking about doing - widening the leg opening so they go over my boots, and if possible, raise the rise (the current rise is a bit too low).

All guidance greatly appreciated

Don’t know whereabouts you are but if Aldershot isn’t too far or not a too unpleasant ride there’s a bunch down there called Hill4Leather who do alterations on motorcycle kit, they’re very good, did a small repair on a pair of trousers of mine and you’d never know.

David Cafini did a great job letting out my leathers after they no longer fitted me - they must have shrunk in the wash.

He does alterations and repairs to all motorbike gear.

Damn, just noticed his web site says he’s moved back to Italy.

Thanks for the advice Rocker. I’m going to call them first to see if they can help me. Aldershot is a bit out of the way and I’m currently without transport :stuck_out_tongue:

Thank you Michael. Shame he’s moved back (although good for him). Saw his website and his work looks great.
