Suzuki GSX 600 vs Suzuki GSXR 600

can some one please tell me the why there is a huge price difference. as I am thinking of buying a GSX. thanks

Are we talking about the old GSX tea pot range?

As far as I know you can’t get a GSX600 now.

The old GSX was more a sports/tourer than the race orientated GSXR with its alloy frame and posh suspension etc.

The price difference secondhand reflects the desirability more than anything.

The GSX was a good solid bike from what I remember.

Hope that helps

There is a new GSX650F coming out at the end of the year, heavily based on the new Bandit 650, same frame, same engine, new full fairing, GSX-R style clocks and headlight. It was in a couple of bike mags last month, didn’t look to bad and was priced at £4700 I think. Exactly the same performance as a Bandit, just looks different (I think the forks were adjustable for pre-load as well, which they’re not on the Bandit).

I did look at the Suzuki website for a link, but failed to find anything about it, but I’m sure I didn’t imagine it.

Is this the bike you meant?

As I can’t se any mention of a price I am assuming we are talking about the Teapot

I thought the OP was comparing a Gixxer with a baby B-King.

One’s a sports bike & the other a naked.

But that’s a GSR isn’t it?

Oh I don’t know

GSR has a slightly detuned GSXR 600 engine, 98bhp I think

The silver bikes a GSR not the BKing

Who said it was?

Suzuki call it their BABY BK

Chunky - as people where coming up dry on the GSX, that’s why I thought he meant GSR
