1982 550 Kat, 30,000 miles, 11 months MoT, 1 month tax. Had only done 20 miles in the last year or so and kept under a cover so needs a bit of a clean up and probably a service. Had new tyres and battery at the previous MoT. I bought it to ride while my R1 is off the road for a couple of months and possible project to learn some spanner skills and has been used every day for the last 2-3 weeks. Good points: Long MoT, low mileage tyres, goes, stops, its a classic! Sort of. Bad points: 27 year old handling, leaky rocker cover gasket, smells when it gets hot and the exhaust doesnt appear to have a lot of baffle in it, great in the tunnels though.
Yes its old and a bit scruffy but in the short time I’ve had it I’ve grown quite fond of it, but I now have 4 bikes after a tasty TLS came my way this week and I couldn’t resist so 2 of them have to go. I am in SE London and can bring the bike up to town any time. Oh nearly forgot £360 ono. Any question please feel free to ask. Cheers.
