sounds like he whipped the clutch in and slammed the brakes on?= lost the front maybe, either way…what a silly boy!
def locked the front… but why did he panic? there was loads of room to brake and its not like the truck snuck up on him! :ermm:
Was he riding a Hornet? That might explain it…
the reason why alot of people crash, he panic’ed i think, bike looked like a honda bros, 400? or 650? had single front disc.
I know it’s easy to criticise these sort of things but this guy strikes me as being a right idiot
Watched it a few times - not so sure he did lock the front. He glances back to his right when he hears his mate’s bike then turns back and doesn’t pick up on the lorry turning immediately. He then lays it down as he believes it’s too late to stop.
This of course is my theory and I’m sticking to it.
Looks to me as if he had two seconds to react …
The faster you go the further ahead you must look, it’s possible he wasn’t concerned with anything other than the car in front, riding too fast, panics, brakes, totally losses control and off he comes.
Was there enough time to come to a controlled stop, I’m not so sure there was at that speed. Maybe better would have been to drop a few gears, check the brakes and head for the wide open space on the left, then again I’ve watched, paused and re-played the video.
His ride was being dictated by his desire to make an exciting film in which he had the starring role rather than by the actual conditions present.
When reality suddenly asserted itself in the form of an oil tanker that tore up his film script he didn’t know what to do - because this wasn’t in the script!
If this guy hadn’t been so wrapped up in making his film and had been riding without a camera I doubt he would have had crashed.
i posted this on the Hawk forum, and have a translation for anyone that wants
