Surbiton from Tottenham..

Ok, i planned to phone in sick on Tuesday as i have an interview in Clapham for 12 O’Clock. Ive now heard i have another interview, but they want me in Surbiton for 9:30!!!

Looking on multimap its 30 miles from where i am in Tottenham, and apart from how long it will take to get there, any ideas how i can phone in sick convincingly at 9am, without the noise of traffic behind me?! :frowning:

good luck!!!

I am looking for a new job as well

Say that you are on your way to your GP’s surgery. The sound of passing traffic will verify your claim.

Get Stacy to put on a Jimmy Cricket accent and pretend to be your mum phoning in for you;)

For Surbiton your best bet is to get on the A3 at Wandsworth and get off at Tolworth. Getting there is probably best done following the North side of the river and crossing at Albert Bridge and following Battersea Park Road/York Road into Wandsworth.

I thought stacey WAS jimmy cricket

If the job is that far away do you want to travel to it every day anyway?

what! how very very dare you! lol

Pop into a Starbucks or something. For quietest results call from inside the loo. Or, arrive half an hour early and call from someplace near the interview location over a leisurely breakfast!

Edit:

Oh - and if’n you use Google Maps rather than Multimap it gives you an (admittedly pretty car-biased) estimated travel time…
