The speed awareness course is fun and informative. Plus it’s a chance to meet like minded criminals. I made some friends. Don’t think of it as getting off the points though. Most insurers ask you to declare it and mine cost me an extra £60 a year for 4 years after I’d done it so it’s like an extra 3 bonus points that don’t appear on your license.
Oh and you have to stay on top of the admin on this one. If you don’t chase them you may miss the opportunity then you cop the points and the fine. That happened to a girl I know who sent off the forms and waited for them to get back to her. Don’t wait. Chase them up.
I’d love to! I used to be one of the tree surgeons there, dontcha know? Waaaaay back when I was fit enough to do those kind of outdoorsy things. It’s a beautiful place, even for the unenlightened non tree huggers.
If you want to think about a date, I’ll see if I can get in touch with the curator there and maybe get a mini tour, or privileged bike parking at the very least, sorted out.
