Leaving High Beech Tea Hut 10am, Sunday 3rd August 2014.
Scenic 45 mile ‘B’ Road meander to Langford and The Museum of Power Bike Meet via The Hanningfields, see poster below. If it turns out to be a bit of a damp squib we could always hit The Burnham Bends with nice creams at Bradwell Marina.
A moderate paced, non-motorway ride employing the corner man system as required. Arrive on a roadworthy bike with a full tank of fuel and an empty bladder. Have with you sufficient funds to cover the costs of fuel and nibbles for the day. No incomplete knobbers, boy racers, girl racers, white line overtakers or late brakers. Vegetarians, nail glue and everyone else welcome.
Ride safely, at your own pace and enjoy the day.
If you’re unfamiliar with the corner man system check out Andy’s most excellent Rideout Guide below
We’ll be a little south of the Essex Coastline Riveria proper mulling around the Rivers Blackwater and Crouch. Which are one step up from the muddy, I thinks its mud, banks of Old Father Thames himself. So I can’t promise sandy beaches but there’ll be salty water a plenty and vegetarian options
See you guys Sunday 9.30 ish for sausage wotnots and steamy teas/coffees ready to roll by 10, subject to a stop off for the ladies 500 yards down the road.
My daughter has been nagging fora ride on bike, so might join you for some of this ride. She’s not had a long ride on bike yet, so will play it by ear, can always drop out midway if necessary.
We’ll be there Art, maybe not for brekkie but we’re planning to rock up before departure and Mrs J is used to the woodland facilities at HBTH from old habit
