Well Rixxy is moving…Jets is recovering, (maybe) from Belgium choco frolics…So … I’m heading up to Super Sausage Cafe (just south of Towcester) for some brunch / lunch etc etc…:)…Leaving the Ace Cafe at 10.00am. So if anyone fancies a run out and wants to join me I will be at the Ace from 9.30 onwards for a cuppa.
Weather looks okay a bit chilly, but dry roads…Nice
Pace…nothing too drastic , but the odd ‘‘moment’’ here and there I’m sure:)
Normal T’s n C’s…
Check everything that needs checking.
Fill everything that needs filling.
Empty everything that will spoil your first hour or so riding:P
Cheers…Richard
ps…Sorry no 125’s…but if your bike can COMFORTABLY cruise between 70 to 80 Mph your in…cheers
Planning a quick T and P at Dunstable Downs on the way, and not planning the most direct route. Gonna have a little ‘‘playtime’’ on the way …so probably get to Super Sausage around Midday onwards…
Tim and I are moving into our new place in the country this weekend, so sadly getting out on the bikes is taking second place to running round like demented idiots trying to get something to sleep on, eat with etc. Oh the domestic bliss
… I might try and get to The Ace to see you off in the morning and to hear all about your sausage exploits that you have planned x
Escape to the country eh…could make a great TV show:D.Seriously, good luck to you both, hope the move goes as smooth as possible…find the kettle first I’d say.
Well, sort of the country. Wooburn Green is country in comparison to the 'burbs of West London where I’m currently calling home. I was over at the new place this morning watching the red kites displaying overhead - I don’t think I’ll ever get bored of watching them. It’s such a novelty seeing something other than pigeons hobbling along. But we’ve already managed to have an argument with the landlord and had the threat of eviction before we’ve even moved in, which is kinda impressive.
Tim’s been a good bf and given me a pass to go out and play tomorrow. Woohoo. Fingers crossed that the weather plays nicely.
Thanks to:
a) duffnut for leading,
b) Mark for tail-gunning
c) everyone else for great company
d) the weather gods for the sunshine and the warmth
e) the road gods for dry surfaces - except the run-off from the tip on the slip road onto the NCR as you leave the Ace (any time of day or night any time of year) and only one other small damp patch.
Nice to be out an about with nothing to to worry about (except dust and massive pot holes)
Well many thanks to you all for coming along and making this a great day out .Dry roads, wall to wall sunshine and great company.Seven bikes at the Ace and collected three more at the Downs…and I must say many thanks to Mark …(yes Angie’s Mark) for tailgunning the whole thing.Hopefully a great tonic for him after his hospital stay…nurse Angie was in attendance too, keeping a watchful eye.
