I like to go for a ride around 5.30-7 in the evening when the sun is out and its not dark. Last night even though it was a bit cold and I caught just a bit of rain as I stopped at a friends, and so it was dark on the ride home, was my first evening ride out and did it feel good…I think the summer is coming…
The next thing will be taxing all of my oldies and riding them in the evening too…ooh roll on the sunshine…
Now the big question is shall I tax them all in April or wait until May…tricky one…May will be better as most of the salt will be gone…depending upon how wet April is…but April has a lot of sun these days…hmm what to do…
Surprised they’re not taxed now, can’t get 6 months tax can you for anything under 750 cc ? I’m sure mine were 12 months for 600cc. Tax them now, enjoy them all year round
no slarty is right below a certain size you can only tax for 12 months…and you cant get a refund…but the 750 will go on for sure…the 550 will go this month the 380 maybe and the Kh400 likely too…ooh that one needs an MOT better get that done too…
anyway tax aside, I love to ride in the evening too. In fact its my favorite time of day in the summer, when everything is orange and still, “alll peacefull like” - Except the sound of me wringing the neck of my bandit round some twistees in the distance :D:D:D
Still think that little ride we took from Boxhill round where you live into those really windy bends, then back through the windy bends, then back again :D:D:D:D is the most fun Ive out of this year. You’ll have to show me a few more when this weather picks up.
I’m more of a (very) early morning person myself. One of the few advantages of being a shift worker are the 6am rides home on a sunny summers Sunday morning… I also often get out of bed at 5am in the summer for a little bimble in the countryside before everyone else wakes up
Early morning or last thing in evening - they are all sooooooo special to me
Gotta admit though that the evening rides bathed in warm orange sunlight are the most memorable ! What better way to wind down after work than a blast out in the countryside . Dark visor on to avoid the low sun and everyone’s a winner
I was indeed, I always have fun when on my bike (even enjoy cummuting to a degree). But especially when I can really gun it round it some good roads. Obviously when its safe to do so
