STOLEN - 2011 Red Triumph Street Triple, Hoxton Square, 03/12/13 between 6 - 7.30pm - STOLEN!

Hello everyone.

New to the forum, and not off to a great start. Was the proud owner of a 2011 red street triple until Tuesday evening (03/12/2013)… only had it less than a month.

Unfortunately somebody nicked it from Hoxton Square, London, from right under my nose.

Went out for a bite to eat with a couple of friends, parked the bike directly opposite the restaurant in a bike bay, and with in an hour and a half it was gone. This was between 6 and 7.30 in the evening.

I know its a long shot but if anyone comes across it on their travels, please let me know.

First picture shows where it was stolen from, second shows the bike.

The exhaust and sound are pretty distinctive, for any of you with a werkes exhaust you will know its pretty loud!

I bloody loved that bike and now its gone… Gutted!

Cheers guys

FFS not a good way to join the forum! hope you get a result and it’s found without too much damage.

Rotten. Steering lock / disk lock / chain? It’ll give us an idea of how many people took it and how far it could have got.

Number plate as well???

Sorry to hear about this mate!

Number plate is GJ11 VMD.

Just the steering lock unfortunately. Wouldn’t expect it to be gone in such a short space of time…

Going to have a venture round a bit later, see if i can find anything in the grotty backstreets of Hoxton.

Just keep thinking what i would do if i found it or found the guys that stole it!

Put a chain on it?.. :Whistling:

Really though, crappy news. Hope you get it back. Oh, and welcome to the forum

Duuuuuude… no chain no nothing???

Really???

I assume no alarm on the bike either???

I know, i know… Naivety on my part for not having it chained or anything but again i just didn’t expect it in such a short time. The fact that it was directly opposite me in such a busy area, again i didn’t think it was possible. Obviously learnt my lesson in that respect.

Nah alarm was due to be fitted next week!

Mine was stolen with alarm on, chain, and disc lock (and of course steering lock)…

This is London baby… don’t leave your bikes like that…

Now you see it… now you… wtf!!!

Hoxton square…

Been a while since I went, but it used to be full of bars etc…

Surely there is a camera pointing on the bay? Or at the very least there will be a camera on a building pointing at the road… Might be worth checking them too…

P.s
This shows you just how easy it is…

“CLICK ME”

How long do you think it takes?

Welcome to the forum & better luck next time

They took awhile to steal that bike in the video, seen others gone in under a minute with just two blokes lifting it into the back of a van…

Twelve seconds to be precise. I had an expensive mountain bike stolen from a so=called secure company car park - footage showed scrote taking one and half hours to dismantle the bike around the lock (dual suspension frame).

My bike got stolen with the scum breaking the steering lock and towing it with a moped over Waterloo or Westminster bridge from Embankment. Knew the one hour window it got stolen and asked the cops to look at the cctv and they flat out weren’t interested. Full of excuses and no desire to do their job, never a police officer around when you need one.

Chain it to something solid too or …

I’m pretty sure that’s my mate old ST, where did ya buy it?

great bikes the Street, unfortunately as easy to nick as a Gilera Runner…

That’s awful. Hoxton square is super busy all the time, you would have thought they wouldn’t have the nerve to throw it in a van when it’s so busy!!

Scary thought. It’s starting to make me think twice about leaving my bike in London now…
