My Er5 went through/is going through a stage of not starting properly, and i have found out that if on the side stand when i press the button it wont start, if i hop on and hold it upright it starts first time…
Anybody have an idea whats causing this, i have a temporary solution (hold it upright) but would like to get to the bottom of what ever is going on…

Is the stand still down when it’s upright?
does the neutral light still work?

neutral light works.
I think it starts upright with the stand down but have not really noticed- will investigate that further…
I can start a fight if needed 
you might find it the side stend switch, by pass it, then you know
