I’d like one of these for riding on the back wheele. With all the protection around them you could learn how to balance on the back wheel without thinking about the large cost it will be to fix your own bike.
There are loads of kids on these at the Ace, Bridge and most of South London 
. But its good to see them out learning on the road and not just jumping onto a big bike.

to be honest I find scooters practical for short distance in city commute. It definetly beats the bus or tube imo.
